Riverview Regional Medical Center Public Safety/Security Officer Job Description

Riverview Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Public Safety/Security Officer to join its Safety and Security team. Located in Gadsden, Alabama, our 281-bed acute-care hospital serves over 350,000 residents in Etowah and surrounding counties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform security services, including electronic surveillance and systematic manual Security Officers rounds
  • Coordinate facility response to various potential problems for patients, employees, and visitors
  • Follow guidelines and perpetual monitoring techniques to establish a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of care
  • Participate in employee awareness and education
  • Drive as needed for company business

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • De-escalation and Crisis Intervention (DCI) training within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually
  • State Guard Certification Registration Card within 6 months of hire and maintain current
  • Experience in healthcare security or related field, preferred
