Kettering Health is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Registration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and efficient patient registration experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Registration and Scheduling: Register patients while demonstrating exceptional customer service and effective communication skills.
- Financial Clearance: Review all scheduled outpatient visits to ensure patients have been screened for discounts and discuss payment arrangements and options.
- Account Management: Assist patients with the completion of Financial Assistance Forms, HCAP Applications, and Medicaid Applications (if applicable).
- Quality and Compliance: Review patient accounts for quality and confirmation, and demonstrate the ability to update all aspects of a patient account.
- Compliance and Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of all compliance or legally required registration forms, consents, literature, and documents.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma required; one or more years of medical office or customer service experience preferred.
- Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to learn site-specific patient processing software; computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Personal Qualities: Ability to function in a high-paced, often stressful environment while maintaining a respectful, caring, and professional manner.
