Role Summary:

The primary responsibility of a culinary service assistant is to ensure that all food items leaving the kitchen meet Green Lantern's high standards of quality and safety. This role involves organizing and timing food deliveries, whether for takeout or dine-in, while providing support to the service staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Familiarize yourself with the menu and be prepared to answer inquiries regarding our food, beverages, and restaurant services.
  • Understand the layout of the dining area and table numbers.
  • Efficiently deliver food from the kitchen to guests.
  • Assist in pre-bussing tables and provide refills for side items and non-alcoholic beverages as requested.
  • Complete side work at the beginning and end of each shift as per service station assignments.
  • Maintain cleanliness in service areas.
  • Be proactive in assisting fellow servers and coworkers as needed.
  • Support bus staff in clearing and resetting tables.
  • Express gratitude to guests for their visit and encourage their return.
  • Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the General Manager or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Basic understanding of dining room and service procedures.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Capability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 5 hours).
  • Able to safely lift and maneuver trays of food weighing up to 30 pounds.
