Job Overview

EIG14T is seeking a highly skilled Associate Attorney to join our team in the commercial real estate transactions department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law and be able to assist the General Counsel with various legal projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare drafts of various documents incident to real estate transactions, including purchase agreements, leases, easements, and restrictive covenants.
  • Review title documents and surveys to identify potential title issues and prepare Title Issues Checklists and Title Objection Letters.
  • Assist the General Counsel in preparing and updating a library of legal forms, reviewing, and organizing other company contracts and documents.
  • Perform legal research as directed internally by the General Counsel.
  • Perform periodic litigation support, including drafting responses to subpoenas and document discovery.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • JD degree, licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one State.
  • Strong skill level in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
  • Experience with real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, and leases of commercial real estate.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate detailed and complex information to others.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to organize self and others.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent proofreading skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, in a dynamic environment, including responding to urgent situations as needed, prioritizing multiple business objectives, and meeting deadlines and milestones for projects assigned.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people across cultures and geographic locations, to deliver consistent and timely results.
  • Possess characteristics such as diligence, integrity, professionalism, accountability, and proactiveness in resolving issues.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
