Nursing Professor and Family Nurse Practitioner

Brenau University is seeking a qualified Nursing Professor and Family Nurse Practitioner to join our faculty team. As a key member of our academic community, you will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, and guiding students in their academic and professional development.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Mentoring: Provide high-quality instruction and mentorship to students in our graduate nursing program, ensuring they achieve academic success and professional growth.
- Course Development and Revision: Develop and revise course syllabi, ensuring they align with Brenau University's academic standards and accreditation requirements.
- Office Hours and Communication: Maintain regular office hours for each class, ensuring timely and effective communication with students, administrators, and other school officials.
- Grading and Reporting: Accurately and timely manage student grades and progress, submitting reports as required.
- Student Conduct and Support: Enforce student conduct policies, provide support and guidance to students, and partner with Academic Advisors to address student concerns.
- Department and Faculty Meetings: Attend department and faculty meetings, contributing to the development and implementation of academic programs and policies.
- Doctoral Degree: Hold a doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, EdD) in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
- National Board Certification: Possess National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, with dual certification as an AGACNP/FNP preferred.
- Clinical Experience: Have recent clinical experience as an FNP or AGACNP in an NP role.
- Teaching Experience: Possess two to four years of related experience and/or training, with online teaching experience a plus.
- Computer Skills: Demonstrate exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office applications and G-suite applications.
