The Line Service Technician (LST) plays a crucial role in customer service, executing various tasks that ensure the safe delivery of requested services for general aviation aircraft, crews, and passengers. An LST is responsible for operating ground service equipment and applying knowledge of company policies and procedures to provide efficient and outstanding service to clients and guests at the fixed base operation (FBO).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate as part of a team to deliver safe and efficient aircraft services while fostering a welcoming environment for customers and guests.
  • Work closely with coworkers, clients, vendors, and aircraft crews to meet customer service requirements, ensuring effective communication through various channels to achieve operational goals.
  • Provide requested services for aircraft as directed by management or clients, including fueling, de-icing, lavatory services, ground power, potable water services, parking, marshalling, catering delivery, and towing.
  • Operate and maneuver ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing vehicles, ground power units, tugs, and stair trucks.
  • Promote and deliver general aviation services to crew members, customers, and other guests.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramp areas and operational environments.
  • Transport passengers and/or cargo using shuttle vehicles.
  • Handle luggage and cargo loading and unloading from aircraft and the FBO.
  • Conduct fuel handling operations, including quality control, inventory management, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Exhibit professional and friendly customer service, demonstrating a positive attitude and courtesy at all times.
  • Adhere to and enforce all operational, safety, and customer service standards relevant to the role.
  • Comply with security protocols as mandated by Signature and the airport.
  • Maintain accurate records of time worked and services rendered.
  • Follow emergency response procedures in the event of critical incidents.
  • Suggest enhancements to Signature's operational standards and practices to management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • A valid state driver's license; a commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required based on local regulations.
  • The ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and obtain an airport security badge.
  • Legal authorization to work in the country of employment.
  • Successful completion of Signature's training programs.
  • Ability to pass a color vision test for fuel inspection.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and training module completion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Preferred: 3 to 6 months of experience in aviation, customer service, or a related field.
