Aerial Lineworker

SQUAN CONSTRUCTION, LLC is seeking a skilled Aerial Lineman to join our team. As an Aerial Lineman, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment in specific areas.

• Access and install, maintain, and/or repair customer telecommunications equipment
• Build aerial plant, including running, lashing, and over-lashing strand, coax, and fiber cables in new and rebuild construction
• Climb poles as needed
• Complete pole transfers
• Operate a bucket truck
• Utilize associated tools for the above-described work
• Motivate crew members by being a team player
• Follow safe work practices and adhere to OSHA/DOT standards for construction
• Work standing, at shoulder height, and overhead for extended periods
• Lift and manipulate lasher and other cable placement equipment
• Communicate verbally and in writing
• Operate equipment, including aerial lift devices, lashers, and hand tools

• Must be 21 or older
• Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner
• Two plus years as an aerial lineman in a capacity similar to current requirements
• Fiber construction background (aerial, splicing, underground, etc.)
• Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• High School Diploma or GED

• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English)
• Undergraduate degree
• Lineman Training (TVPPA)
• Able to splice coax
• Capable of installing power supplies
