Position Overview

HR Works is currently seeking an experienced HR Consultant specializing in Benefits and Leave Administration. This role is designed for a professional who can contribute significantly while enjoying a balanced work-life dynamic.

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing policies related to all aspects of Benefits and Leave Administration for our clients. This includes leveraging expertise in various areas such as:

  • Data Management and Record Maintenance
  • Comprehensive Benefits and Leave Management, covering 401k, Open Enrollment, HRIS oversight, and Vendor Coordination
  • Adherence to Regulatory Standards and Safety Protocols
  • Compensation Structures and Benefits Planning
  • Employee Relations and Support
  • Professional Development and Mentorship
  • Policy Interpretation and Compliance Monitoring

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of State and Federal employment regulations, with practical application experience
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including research, analysis, and recommendation formulation
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for relationship building
  • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
  • Adaptability and a proactive approach to challenges
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, and payroll systems; experience with ADP is a plus
  • Availability during standard business hours, Monday to Friday
  • Relevant certifications such as PHR/SHRM-CP or similar credentials are preferred

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in HR Management, particularly in Benefits and Leave Administration within a mid-sized organization
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or an Associate degree with equivalent experience
