The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the outpatient pharmacist with the preparation and delivery of medications to ambulatory patients or outpatient clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists with patient outreach and answer phones regularly
- Communicate professionally and efficiently with patients and other staff
- Maintain accurate records and paperwork, electronically and/or on paper
- Deliver medication to employees/patients in a timely and accurate manner
- Promote a safe working environment and maintain clean work surfaces in all dispensing areas
- Understand and comply with requirements of the 340B program
- Cross-trained and able to work in multiple areas
- Float to other areas when work is caught up
- Restock assigned areas daily or as needed
- Pharmacy technician license through the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy or eligible for AR licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician work experience (Level II)
- Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) issued by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
- Computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office and EMR experience)
