This position is contingent upon the award of contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and document patients' vital signs, reporting any significant changes or abnormalities.
- Assist in patient assessments and ensure accurate documentation of findings.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement personalized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain precise and current medical records.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times.
Requirements:
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems such as Cerner, Epic, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of medical coding practices and documentation standards.
- Experience in diverse healthcare environments, including assisted living, medical offices, acute care, or cardiac catheterization labs is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and pain management protocols is advantageous.
- Strong communication abilities to effectively engage with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and capability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Compassionate demeanor and ability to provide empathetic care to patients in need.
- Proficient in administering medications and executing basic nursing procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
