Transport Specialist

Compensation: $180 per day
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertly operate and navigate your designated vehicle with safety as a priority.
- Safely collect and deliver freight to specified locations.
- Ensure that all cargo is securely fastened within the vehicle to avoid any damage or accidents.
- Collect necessary signatures to verify and finalize deliveries.
- Assist in planning and optimizing driving routes.
- Adhere to a set route to guarantee timely deliveries.
- Verify that the contents of each shipment correspond with the provided manifest.
- Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle before and after each journey.
- Check weather forecasts and road conditions prior to departure.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle at all times.
- Report any significant maintenance or delivery challenges to management.
- Follow the delivery schedule and take breaks as required.
- Keep detailed records of driving and delivery activities.
- Monitor and report working hours accurately.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and adjust driving according to weather and road conditions.
- Follow DOT regulations diligently.
- Prioritize safety in all aspects of the job.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Clean driving history with no infractions.
- Must successfully pass a background investigation and drug screening.
- Proficient in operating and parking large vehicles.
- Detail-oriented, alert, and focused.
- Physically and mentally capable of performing job duties.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Possess stamina and concentration for extended driving periods.
- Comfortable with long-distance transportation.
- Skilled in using electric lifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Proficient with GPS and routing technologies.
- Strong sense of direction.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Dependable, disciplined, and resourceful.
- Ability to manage stress effectively and maintain composure.
