Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Porter to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a Dietary Porter, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our Foodservice Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain all areas of the Foodservice Department, adhering to safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
  • Collect and dispose of food-related and recyclable waste/trash in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform warewashing duties, including operating the dishmachine and three-compartment pot sink, in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Transport carts, deliver meal trays, and pick up meal trays from assigned areas, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Clean and maintain carts and kitchen equipment, using proper techniques and cleaning solutions.
  • Comply with internal policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements/standards regarding kitchen safety and sanitation.

Requirements:

  • No degree or other education earned is required.
  • No prior experience is necessary, but a willingness to learn and adapt to our team's dynamic environment is essential.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, walk, and move around the department.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel to perform cleaning tasks.
