Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

**About the Role**

As an Assistant Teacher at Primrose School of Johns Creek, you will have the opportunity to inspire and nurture young minds in a supportive and enriching environment. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to the holistic development of children.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Supervise and engage with a group of children in daily activities, fostering a sense of community and socialization.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulations concerning child care and safety, maintaining a secure and healthy environment.
  • Assess and address each child's developmental needs, providing individualized support and guidance.
  • Implement curriculum following Primrose's Balanced Learning approach, promoting academic and social growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues for parent-teacher conferences, maintaining open communication and transparency.
  • Maintain a stimulating and organized classroom environment, promoting a love of learning and exploration.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and set clear expectations for behavior, encouraging social-emotional growth and development.
  • Attend meetings, workshops, and school events as required, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the Director, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the school's mission.

**Requirements**

  • Meet qualifications of local child care regulatory agency, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards.
  • Previous experience in early childhood education preferred, but not required.
  • Understanding of social, emotional, and creative needs of young children, with a commitment to meeting their unique needs.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and handle emergency situations, demonstrating physical and emotional stamina.
  • 2-year degree in early childhood education or related field (for Infant-Preschool teachers), with a focus on child development and education.
