We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Graduate Writing Consultant at the University Writing Center. This is a unique opportunity to work with graduate students and support their academic writing and scholarship.
As a Graduate Writing Consultant, you will provide one-on-one consultations with graduate student writers to improve their academic writing. You will also develop, market, and lead workshops, writing groups, and other relevant events in support of graduate student writers. Additionally, you will collaborate with the UWC Director to support the UWC and its Undergraduate Writing Consultants through a focused project.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to equity and inclusion, and will be able to work effectively with a culturally, linguistically, and educationally diverse community. You will also have experience with and understanding of multiple academic genres, and will be able to maintain a qualifying grade point average.
The position requires a commitment to a fixed semester schedule of 20 hours per week, and participation in mandatory orientation/training prior to the start of instruction. You will also be required to participate in mandatory bi-weekly staff meetings for UWC student employees.

Responsibilities
