Position Overview
The main objective of this role is to work under the mentorship of a Senior Engineer, contributing as a developing Mechanical Engineer by executing engineering tasks in alignment with designated projects or engineering functions.
Eligibility Criteria
This opportunity is available to recent graduates and individuals who have completed their education at an accredited institution or certification program within the last two years, or six years for veterans.

U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or individuals who owe allegiance to the United States.
Role Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:
- Oversee and coordinate projects related to new construction, renovations, and enhancements to real property facilities, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications and timelines.
- Assist in the planning and design phases for new projects and improvements to facilities and utility systems.
- Evaluate and recommend development plans while advocating for project requirements.
- Engage in operations and maintenance (O&M) activities within facilities.
- Provide consulting services and coordinate project efforts.
Conditions of Employment
Applicants must meet specific requirements, including:
- Registration for Selective Service for males.
- Potential relocation during or after training.
- Possibility of obtaining job-related certifications.
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution; advanced degrees are preferred.
- Superior academic achievement in an engineering program.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Professional knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with construction standards, methods, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ability to effectively plan, conduct, and document site surveys and inspections.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
