Job Overview:

We are in search of a Mechanical Systems Specialist to enhance our dedicated team. This position reports directly to the Facility Manager and is essential for the hands-on management, upkeep, and troubleshooting of our continuous facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on both critical and non-critical systems.
  2. Manage and operate various mechanical infrastructures, including HVAC, plumbing, generators, fire detection and suppression systems, life safety systems, temperature regulation systems, and building management frameworks.
  3. Oversee and coordinate electrical operations, maintenance, and energy management initiatives.
  4. Ensure adherence to all change control protocols.
  5. Plan and supervise preventive, contracted, and general maintenance tasks.
  6. Follow established operating procedures and maintenance guidelines.
  7. Operate and monitor critical system equipment, supervising efforts including those of external contractors.
  8. Respond efficiently to emergency situations and client inquiries.
  9. Monitor facility operations during assigned shifts.
  10. Assess and delegate safe work responsibilities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical critical facilities support; or over 7 years of experience as an HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician.
  • Preferred electrical/mechanical certifications.
  • Availability to work overtime and extended shifts, including day, night, weekend, and holiday schedules.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Flexibility with work hours is essential.
