Position OverviewThe Department of Biomedical Informatics (BMI) and the Center for Biostatistics (CFB) at The Ohio State University (OSU) are seeking applicants for tenure-track faculty in biostatistics at the Associate Professor level.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in biostatistics, with expertise in population sciences, Bayesian statistics, causal inference, statistical learning, high-dimensional data, and/or electronic medical records.
- Develop and teach courses in biostatistics and biomedical informatics.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff in the Department of Biomedical Informatics and the Center for Biostatistics to advance the field of biostatistics and biomedical informatics.
- Participate in departmental and university service activities.
- Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related discipline.
- Expertise in biostatistics, with a strong background in statistical theory and methodology.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
