Job Summary

The Registered Nurse Specialty at Wellstar Health System is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a skilled nurse, you will work under the direction of the Office Manager and/or Physician to implement the nursing process and coordinate patient care activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exemplary Practice and Outcomes: Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care using evidence-based practice, analytical/critical thinking, and individualized care.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care, promote a respectful, inclusive clinical environment, and demonstrate teamwork and collaboration.
  • Professional Development and Initiative: Complete initial and ongoing professional competency assessments, required mandatory education, and population-specific education, and serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses.
  • Evidence-Based Practice and Research: Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing, and participate in activities such as value analysis and data collection.
  • Resources and Support: Proactively plan for the care of patients across the care continuum, participate in the development of protocols and procedures, and support efficient and effective use of human and material resources.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the State of Georgia
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • National certification in area of specialty
  • Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing
