Job Title: Orthopedic Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Physician Assistant to join our team at She Recruits, LLC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough patient assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with our team of orthopedic surgeons to deliver high-quality care. You will also assist in orthopedic surgeries, monitor patients during their recovery, and educate them on self-care and rehabilitation techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to formulate accurate diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons to develop individualized treatment plans, which may include surgical intervention, non-surgical treatments, and rehabilitation.
  • Assist in orthopedic surgeries, providing support to the surgical team and ensuring the safety and comfort of the patient.
  • Monitor patients during their recovery, adjusting treatment plans as needed and educating them on self-care and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Perform minor orthopedic procedures such as joint aspirations, wound care, and cast/splint applications.
  • Educate patients and their families on orthopedic conditions, treatment options, and postoperative care to empower them in making informed decisions about their health.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, nurses, and medical staff, to provide multidisciplinary care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in orthopedic medicine, and contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited physician assistant program.
  • Current New York state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • Board Certification.
  • A minimum of 2 years of orthopedic outpatient or inpatient experience.
