About the Role
This is a full-time day shift position on our Surgical Telemetry Unit at Piedmont Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in this role, you will provide direct clinical patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of assigned patients. You will also supervise staff and ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and provide education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing required.
- One year of telemetry experience preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of residence required.
- American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required.
- American Heart Association ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
