Job Title: Traffic Engineer II - Transportation Infrastructure

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer II to join our team at TMC USA SE in Atlanta, GA. As a key member of our transportation infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing traffic management solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of engineers and technicians to develop and implement traffic management plans.
  • Assist in the analysis, design, and implementation of traffic impact studies, traffic operations studies, capacity analysis, traffic signal design, signal timing, signing, striping, and traffic control plans.
  • Provide technical guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and junior Engineers working on the same project.
  • Lead or contribute to small to mid-sized projects within your specific discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Traffic/Transportation Engineering.
  • Experience conducting traffic counts, travel time studies, and roadway element inventories.
  • Proficiency in traffic signal design and signal timing development tools.
  • Familiarity with MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) and HCM (Highway Capacity Manual).
  • Strong working knowledge of traffic analysis and simulation software, including Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, as well as MicroStation or AutoCAD.
  • Solid hands-on experience with major technical analyses.
  • Familiarity with transportation issues in metropolitan regions and the ability to work with key stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) registration is preferred.
