Position Summary
The Electrical Operations Supervisor will lead the service division at All Tech Electric. This role is pivotal in managing client-focused and smaller-scale electrical initiatives, ensuring all projects are carried out effectively and adhere to quality benchmarks. The supervisor will oversee all facets of service operations and special initiatives, including client engagement, project oversight, and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the service division, ensuring efficient project management from start to finish.
- Engage with clients to assess their requirements, develop proposals, and guarantee satisfaction with project results.
- Conduct outreach to potential clients to cultivate new business opportunities.
- Manage scheduling, budgeting, and invoicing processes to ensure precision and timeliness.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise department personnel, promoting a cooperative team atmosphere.
- Formulate and execute strategies for departmental growth, process enhancement, and improved operational efficiency.
- Handle financial aspects of the service division, including budget formulation and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality regulations.
- Maintain the service fleet in optimal condition, well-stocked, and organized to meet operational needs.
- Coordinate logistics, including the distribution and deployment of personnel and resources for maximum efficiency.
- Evaluate team performance, providing training and development opportunities as necessary.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues to uphold high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Enforce compliance with legal and company standards, ensuring all practices meet regulatory requirements.
- Develop competitive pricing strategies for project bids.
- Prepare detailed and clear estimates and proposals for clients, outlining project scope, timelines, and costs.
- Establish and maintain job cost control, with monthly reporting.
- Complete job setup, including entering project budgets into accounting software.
- Analyze plans and specifications for accurate interpretation of construction documents.
- Manage submittals/shop drawings, material procurement, and address supply chain challenges.
- Plan work schedules, project manpower requirements, and oversee quality assurance/control on projects.
- Handle subcontracts, purchase orders, and review subcontractor payments.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, project timelines, and cost management.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors, clients, and trade partners.
Supervisory Duties
- Mentor and develop field team members while effectively managing the overall team.
- Act as a liaison for company and employee communication.
- Monitor and assess the performance of all assigned personnel, recommending and implementing personnel actions as necessary.
- Participate in periodic meetings with staff and management as required.
- Interview, select, train, assign, monitor, and review the activities of all assigned personnel.
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise team members and contractors, encouraging accountability for their assigned work.
- Ensure and oversee work quality.
- Address employee grievances and emergencies; maintain harmonious employee relations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Background in electrical service and/or special projects.
- Advanced skills in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.

- Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in MS Office.
- OSHA-30 certification (or willingness to obtain within six months of hire).
- Travel Requirements: Up to 25%.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Some field experience in electrical installation preferred.
- Thorough understanding of corporate objectives, estimating strategies, and construction contracts.

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- 2+ years of education in construction technology, electrical engineering, or construction science (or equivalent training/experience).
- 8+ years of experience in electrical construction, including project management and estimating.
- Proficiency with the NEC.
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
- Clean driving, drug screening, and background records at all times.
