Job Description

In this role, you will work under the guidance of the Center Manager and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. You will be responsible for determining donor eligibility, managing informed consent, conducting medical history interviews, and performing physical examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
  • Conduct medical history interviews and perform physical examinations to ensure donor safety and eligibility.
  • Evaluate donor reactions and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies.
  • Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when in need of guidance concerning medical or technical issues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
  • Current licensure or certification in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
  • Fulfillment of state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
  • Satisfactory completion of the FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
  • Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
Salary and Benefits

Our estimated hourly wage range is $26.15 - $35.96, based on your qualifications and experience.
