Position Overview: As a key member of the Health Systems Cooperative Laundry team, this position is responsible for operating HSCL delivery vehicles, delivering clean linens to member hospital clients, and retrieving soiled linens for transport back to the HSCL processing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Loading and securing clean linen carts in the delivery trucks to prevent damage and ensure timely delivery.
  • Operating the vehicles and delivering the clean linens to hospitals, maintaining the delivery schedule and completing assigned deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Loading and securing soiled linen carts and maintaining functional separation from clean linens as necessary.
  • Off-loading soiled linens and weighing carts at the soil area scale.
  • Sweeping the truck prior to leaving the soiled area and cleaning the truck according to established schedule and current process.
  • Following all safety guidelines and adhering to company policies.
  • May be required to work some nights and weekends.
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the vehicles in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Properly staging soiled linen carts in the soil holding area.
  • Entering soil weight data.
  • Effectively communicating with clients and responding to client service requests.
  • Requirements
  • Ability to push and pull full linen carts weighing up to 500 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Class D driver's license.
  • Maintaining an acceptable driving record.
