Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food and Beverage Service Counter Attendant to join our team at Marriott International. As a Food and Beverage Service Counter Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring that all food and beverage products are prepared and presented to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety standards.
  • Prepare and present food and beverage products to the highest standards, ensuring that all products are of the highest quality and presentation.
  • Stock and maintain work areas, including the counter, tables, and other tools, to ensure that all necessary supplies are available.
  • Transport supplies to the beverage set-up area, wash soiled glassware, and remove soiled wares from the counter and tables.
  • Input orders into the cash register system, collect payment from customers, and take orders, record them in the MICROS system, and issue, open, and dispense wine/beer bottles, and prepare food and coffee beverages.
  • Present the order to the guest in a timely manner and within standards, ensuring that all orders are accurate and complete.
  • Ensure that appliances, such as coffee makers, are turned on/off at the appropriate times, and bus counter areas and tables.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and condition of work areas, counter, tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment throughout the day, and obtain change required for expected business level.
  • Count bank at the end of the shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
  • Secure beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas, following all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager, and complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure personal appearance and uniforms are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language, develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support the team to reach common goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, read and visually verify information in a variety of formats, and visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended time period or for an entire work shift, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance, move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and perform all other reasonable job duties as requested.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • No related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.
  • No license or certification required.
