At KPMG, we're seeking a talented Tax Intern to join our Global Mobility Services practice. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse array of clients, leveraging your skills to provide international companies with global tax, compensation, benefits, and HR-related services.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive tax solutions to clients
  • Compile and calculate compensation and benefit deductions and costs, review compensation provisions, and assess applicable tax rules
  • Support Mergers & Acquisitions due diligence work, including employee compensation and employer benefits
  • Participate in drafting white papers and reports on relevant topics in the global rewards space
  • Work with KPMG offices across the globe to provide guidance and worldwide coordination for mobility tax support
  • Collaborate with tax and human resource professionals within multinational companies to manage the tax implications of their global workforce
  • Participate in and contribute to external market and business activities
  • Build capabilities in key technologies that enable tax professionals for client service delivery, such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI, and more
Qualifications:
  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Business, Accounting, Systems, or equivalent program
  • Upon completion of this internship, candidates must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following is preferred, but not required: MS Access, VB, Power BI, Alteryx, and/or SQL
  • Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and ability to navigate MS Office applications
  • Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to learn and navigate technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, and Power BI
  • Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office for this position and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own means of transportation
  • Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future is preferred
