Assistant Manager in Training

About the Role

Check City is seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our stores, including customer service, sales, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily customer service operations, including sales processes and payments
  • Monitor and maintain store inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient ordering
  • Evaluate employee performance and identify training needs, providing coaching and support to staff
  • Supervise and motivate staff to perform at their best, promoting a positive and productive work environment
  • Communicate with customers, understanding their needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the store is functional and presentable, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Ensure all employees adhere to company policies and guidelines, promoting a culture of compliance and integrity

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Retail Assistant Manager or similar position
  • Familiarity with financial and customer service principles, with a strong understanding of retail operations
  • Good math skills, with the ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets, and sales statistics
  • Proficient user of MS Office, particularly MS Excel
  • Leadership and organizational abilities, with a strong focus on customer service and employee development
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and staff
  • Problem-solving attitude, with a focus on finding creative solutions to challenges
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
