Oklahoma Christian University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Professor of Communication to teach courses in Oral Communication during the fall and spring semesters.
Key Responsibilities- Teach courses in Oral Communication, including lectures, discussions, and presentations.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to meet course learning objectives.
- Provide feedback and guidance to students on their performance and progress.
- Use technology to enhance teaching and learning, including online learning systems and multimedia resources.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and assessments.
- Participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives to promote academic excellence and student success.
- A Master's and/or Doctorate in an appropriate discipline and higher education teaching experience is required.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and the ability to communicate and positively engage students and colleagues across racial, gender, and cultural barriers.
- Higher education teaching experience is strongly preferred.
- The successful candidate must be an active member of a local church.
- Must be available for morning, afternoon, and/or evening sessions as assigned.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with clear, grammatically correct English.
- Requires interaction with supervisors, colleagues, and students, using tact, discretion, and independent judgment.
- Experience teaching with technology, including online learning systems and multimedia resources.
- Ability to design and implement curriculum and assessments that promote student learning and success.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and supervisors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
This is an on-campus, in-person position. The successful candidate will be required to work in an office and classroom environment with a significant amount of public contact.
Salary and BenefitsSalary is commensurate with degree level.
