Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Staff to join our team at Advocates. As a Direct Support Staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide ongoing support, guidance, and role modeling to individuals living in a residential setting.
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, such as cooking, personal hygiene, and dressing.
- Administer and manage medication, follow Individual Support Plans (ISPs), and transport individuals to appointments when needed.
- Complete shift notes and ensure the home is welcoming, comfortable, and safe.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in developmental services/behavioral health area preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving status.
- Use of a reliable vehicle that seats two passengers.
As a Direct Support Staff at Advocates, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. You will work closely with parents and/or guardians to collaborate on how to best support each individual and ensure they have access to the community through group activities, trips to events, and volunteering.
