Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at FedEx Freight. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the country, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples, to transport goods across the country.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Hook and unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor and/or trailer, verifying and completing required documentation and reports.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures.
  • Communicate with dispatch and follow instructions to ensure efficient and safe transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload freight as required, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements.
  • Must have at least one year of experience within the last three years or successful completion of the FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
  • Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards.
  • Must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements under section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier (FMC) regulations.
Working Conditions

As a Truck Driver at FedEx Freight, you will be exposed to various working conditions, including:

  • Driving long distances day and night on all types of roads and in all types of weather.
  • Exposure to noise and vibration.
  • Exposure to dust and diesel fumes.
  • Exposure to hazardous materials shipped and packaged under DOT regulations.
