Senior Bank Secrecy Act Analyst

Are you a seasoned Bank Secrecy Act Analyst looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Analyst.
As a Senior Bank Secrecy Act Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring Metro Credit Union's compliance with FinCEN Regulations, USA Patriot Act, Bank Secrecy Act, and other federal programs related to suspicious activity. You will utilize anti-money laundering software to monitor and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and reference documents related to BSA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train new team members on BSA procedures and protocols.
- Lead small projects related to system or process changes and enhancements.
- Manage the Currency Transaction Report (CTR) workflow within the automated compliance management system to ensure regulatory deadlines are met.
- Submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) as required by FinCEN regulations using the credit union's compliance monitoring systems.
- Reconcile reports to ensure adherence to established procedures and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Review and acknowledge several types of alerts using anti-money laundering software.
- Document Know Your Customer (KYC) data for regulatory compliance.
- Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and behavior reviews for regulatory compliance.
- Engage with other departments to investigate suspicious activity and/or fraud.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- BSA Certification and/or Certified Anti-Money Laundering (CAM) certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulations related to departmental duties such as Chapter X, the USA Patriot Act, and the FFIEC BSA/AML Examination Manual.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to perform work with accuracy and diligence.
- Demonstrated time management skills with an ability to work independently but also be a team player.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present information in a clear and easily understood manner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, showing flexibility for changing priorities.
Work Environment:
This position is eligible for a Hybrid Work Agreement, with a minimum of 3 days/week in office. The position is also eligible for a Compressed Work Agreement (4x10) with all four days on-site in Chelsea.
