About the Opportunity

JPMorganChase is a leading financial institution seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to join its Commercial Banking team. This role will play a pivotal part in expanding our presence within the innovation economy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive revenue growth while ensuring efficiency and minimizing risk.
  2. Serve as a mentor and coach to the banking team, leading prospecting activities and cross-selling existing clients.
  3. Plan and host networking events with key centers of influence in the local market.
  4. Develop new business origination strategies for the local market, collaborating with market executives and the venture capital coverage team.
  5. Identify top technology companies in the Innovation Economy and establish connections with their key executives.
  6. Utilize data-driven insights to prioritize prospects and tailor customized outreach strategies.
  7. Buid a channel partnership pipeline with success and market share tracking, working with the Startup Banking team.
  8. Leverage key partner relationships to enhance outreach efforts and drive new client acquisition.
  9. Execute a strategic events strategy focused on building new connections and enhancing the JPMorgan brand.
  10. Stay up-to-date on market trends and emerging technologies, focusing on ecosystem and network growth in the assigned territory.
  11. Collaborate with Banking, Credit, Treasury, and Service partners, as well as Asset Management, Private Bank, and Investment Bank colleagues, to introduce our prospects to our broad product capabilities.

Requirements:

  1. 8+ years' experience in business development or relevant sales experience in the technology ecosystem.
  2. Proven track record of sourcing complex sales opportunities, ideally in commercial banking, venture debt, venture capital, or other technology-related services.
  3. Ability to build community and brand awareness in a dynamic market.
  4. History of planning and executing events and content strategies.
  5. Utilize seasoned judgment to offer comprehensive solutions that meet potential client needs.
  6. Monitor and research market/industry trends and business outcomes to present relevant solutions to potential clients.
  7. FINRA Series 79, 63, and Securities Industry Essentials licenses required or must be obtained within 180 days of hire.

Earnings Potential:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, with potential for commission-based pay and/or discretionary incentive compensation based on individual achievements and contributions.
