Respiratory Therapist

ChristianaCare is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional patient care in our Respiratory Care Department. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory therapy services to patients in various areas of the hospital, including adult and infant critical care units, medical-surgical floors, and emergency care.
Responsibilities:
Provide respiratory therapy services to patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and asthma.
Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
Conduct routine assessments and evaluations to identify patients at risk for respiratory complications.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or graduate of a CoARC-approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
Licensure in the State of Maryland required.
Greater than 6 months of experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Active CRT and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials.
Current BLS certification.
Current NRP certification within 90 days of hire.
AARC membership preferred.
