About Global Treasury

Global Treasury, a vital segment of the American Express Finance group, plays a crucial role in managing our balance sheet to ensure a competitive edge. This includes overseeing liquidity and capital to support our operations, delivering diverse and resilient funding solutions, and identifying and mitigating financial and operational risks.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage and forecast daily cash flows to optimize available cash for investments and minimize borrowing expenses.
  • Ensure timely execution of cash transfers.
  • Generate daily and monthly reports for business stakeholders.
  • Monitor bank account balances to maintain minimum levels.
  • Oversee the debt and investment trade settlement process, including trade detail receipt and resolution of inquiries.
  • Provide communication and support to our investor community.
  • Maintain and update operational procedures and support business continuity plans.
  • Initiate compensation claims as necessary and coordinate back value adjustments.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Proven capability to streamline and automate processes.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must work independently under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cash management banking operations and trade settlements.
  • Familiarity with Automated Treasury Workstation.
