Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Professional to perform Disability Assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

In this role, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran.

You will document exam findings electronically through the web portal, but will not make disability determinations. The United States Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations.

This position performs Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day, and you will not treat or prescribe medication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Independent Medical Assessments
  • Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions
  • Manage time effectively and meet requirements
  • Hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Be proficient in using a computer

Requirements:

  • Hold a current, unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license from any state
  • Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA
