The Opportunity
This position is based in Minnetonka, MN, within our Cardiac Rhythm Management division. As a global leader in cardiac rhythm technologies, we focus on developing innovative solutions that enhance the way doctors treat heart arrhythmias.
About the Role
This Senior Quality Management Specialist will be responsible for activities related to supplier selection, material qualification, and receiving inspection. The role involves contributing to the development and maintenance of quality engineering methodologies and practices that meet company and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain quality policies, procedures, and forms for the division supplier development program
- Provide work direction and guidance to technical team personnel, including engineers and technicians
- Conduct reviews and approvals of supplied product drawings and component quality plans
- Manage the development of supplied product inspection procedures and first article requirements
- Provide engineering guidance to Receiving Inspection, including statistical analysis and measurement techniques
- Evaluate supplier capabilities through direct visits, technical discussions, and quality system audits
- Communicate quality issues to suppliers and participate in Non-Conforming Material Reviews
- Participate in supplier performance reviews and develop Supplied Data Agreement partnerships
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management, preferably in the medical device industry
- Demonstrated supervisory experience and strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels
- Ability to travel approximately 10-20% for business purposes
