About the Role:

The Automation Engineer Specialist is part of the Engineering team and aims to design and execute industrial investment projects. This role provides technical support as a point of reference during project execution and ensures the capitalization of experiences on plants, looking for opportunities and ideas for improvement.

The Automation Engineer Specialist will report professionally to the Automation Engineering Manager Preparation and Utilities and managerially to the North America Engineering Manager. Daily work will involve collaboration with several internal stakeholders, including Plants, Technical Sourcing, Maintenance, and Controlling.

Main Responsibilities:

•Project Activities:
  • Defines technical specifications for design activities, outlining required technical features. Supports the startup of new machinery, oversees technology diffusion among plants, and guarantees know-how transfer to the plant.
  • Executes industrial investment projects.

•Technical Reference during project execution and post-execution through technical assistance on activities to machinery.

•Supports Sourcing, acting as a point of reference for the Sourcing department and providing support in sourcing strategy definition, collecting and evaluating offers, assessing and selecting suppliers.

•NA specific activities. Guarantees the connection and coordination between the Area and the central Engineering (technical specifications alignment, feedback on projects and vendors).

•Coordinates and manages vendors during the execution phase.

•Project budget may range up to $50 Million.

Requirements:

•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required. Master's Degree would be a plus.

•Specialization in Automation, Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrotechnics.

•Minimum 6 years of experience in Automation (PLC, SCADA, Motion Control Systems knowledge, OT infrastructures).

•Advanced project management skills.

•Availability to travel frequently for business trips across North America (About 50%).

•Previous experience in Industrial Maintenance roles will be considered a plus.
