Healthcare Customer Support Specialist (Remote)
Greenlight Connections is actively seeking dedicated individuals from the military community for a remote position that plays a crucial role in enhancing patient experiences.

Job Type: Full-Time, 1099 Contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day
To be successful in this role, candidates must ensure a reliable internet connection and maintain a quiet workspace free from interruptions.

Role Summary:
Under the guidance of an Operations Manager, the Healthcare Customer Support Specialist will engage with patients and healthcare providers, offering solutions and addressing various inquiries, including insurance verification and billing issues. All specialists will undergo a comprehensive paid training program prior to patient interaction.

Available Positions and Compensation:
We offer multiple roles with varying levels of expertise, each with a competitive pay structure:

  • Healthcare Customer Support Specialist:
    • $17.00 per hour during training, increasing to $18.00 per hour post-certification
  • Data Intake Specialist:
    • $15.00 per hour during training, increasing to $16.00 per hour post-certification
  • Benefit Verification Specialist:
    • $16.00 per hour during training, increasing to $18.00 per hour post-certification

Key Responsibilities:
Depending on the contracted program, responsibilities may include:

  • Managing inbound calls and general inquiries
  • Assessing eligibility for support programs (e.g., Copay, PAP, Medicaid)
  • Investigating and resolving claim denials or underpayments
  • Delivering exceptional service to both internal and external clients, ensuring timely resolution of requests
  • Reporting trends or delays to management
  • Ensuring all communications meet quality standards
  • Coordinating pharmacy-related activities and follow-ups
  • Maintaining self-motivation while working from a queue, adhering to established procedures

Qualifications:
A minimum of a High School diploma/GED is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Certifications in Medical Coding or Billing are advantageous.

Experience:
Previous experience in customer service or patient support roles is highly desirable, with a focus on problem-solving and relationship-building.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to foster productive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Empathy and solution-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting
