We are seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing vascular lab exams, providing quality patient care, and assisting with clinical rotations in both in-patient and out-patient settings.
Key Responsibilities- Perform most modalities of peripheral vascular studies, including duplex imaging, Doppler, and plethysmography of upper and lower extremity vasculature, abdominal viscera, carotid vasculature, and/or intracranial vessels.
- Use independent judgment during exams to accurately differentiate between normal and abnormal findings, following IAC-approved scanning protocols and utilizing Smart Protocols when possible.
- Review images and paperwork to ensure quality exams are complete, thorough, and prepared for review by reading physicians.
- Rotate to multiple vascular lab locations as scheduled and required by the IAC, participating in the daily workflow by watching the technologist worklist to ensure timely patient care.
- Participate in the Vascular Lab after hours, on-call, weekend, and holiday schedules.
- Operate all vascular lab testing equipment and software packages, including ultrasound and physiological equipment, EMR, and Structured Reporting and PACS.
- Report any equipment issues to the appropriate personnel and remove equipment from service, cleaning the equipment and work areas daily and stocking rooms with supplies and linen.
- Maintain up-to-date maintenance logs, including the monthly cleaning log and equipment downtime log.
- Associate's Degree in Radiology or Sonography from a formal/Director-approved program.
- One year of Vascular Sonography experience performing non-invasive vascular lab studies, or clinical rotations during a formal educational program.
- ARDMS-RVT or CCI(RVS) certification.
- Basic computer skills, knowledge of office equipment, and proficiency in word processing.
- Thorough knowledge of vascular anatomy and hemodynamics, and medical terminology.
