Job Summary:

Nestled in a unique location, Game Creek Restaurant offers a gourmet dining experience with breathtaking views. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for supervising employees, preparing and producing food, and maintaining the highest quality standards.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Supervise and train employees to ensure exceptional service and quality food production.
  • Assist in the creation, costing, and management of menus, as well as monthly inventory, staff scheduling, and purchasing.
  • Ensure proper condition and cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment, adhering to Vail Resorts Culinary Guidelines.
  • Responsible for proper food handling, rotation, sanitation, and labeling.
  • Assist in the direction and supervision of staff, and demonstrate excellent teamwork and cooperation with service staff.
Job Requirements:
  • 5 years of culinary experience in a fast-paced, fine dining restaurant.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40+ pounds.
  • Ability to stand for 8+ hours.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Team-oriented attitude and fluency in English.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Basic knowledge of the Spanish language.
Compensation:

The expected pay range is $55,000 - $61,000. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
