The Housekeeping Team Leader is responsible for the training and development of housekeeping staff while ensuring cleanliness and productivity standards are met. This role involves inspecting guest accommodations and public areas, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies, and fostering a safe and organized work environment, which is vital for employee and guest satisfaction.

What you'll be doing...

  • Guide and support housekeeping staff, ensuring the department operates efficiently.
  • Oversee daily operations of the housekeeping department to uphold service and cleanliness standards.
  • Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas to guarantee cleanliness and adherence to brand standards.
  • Assist in creating and implementing innovative promotional and sales events to enhance service.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, emphasizing employee health and safety.
  • Train colleagues in proper safety protocols.
  • Conduct orientation and training for new housekeeping staff, ensuring compliance with company and brand standards.
  • Utilize effective leadership techniques to motivate team members towards achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve issues to maintain department stability.
  • Perform cleaning duties as needed.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements...

  • Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, and pivot frequently.
  • Able to lift and maneuver up to 30 pounds; capable of pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
  • Previous experience as a housekeeper or houseman is preferred.
