Job Overview

As a Civil Structural Engineer, you will leverage your technical expertise to undertake engineering tasks within the offshore oil and gas sector. Your role will involve:

  • Producing a variety of engineering outputs, including complex deliverables, with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard methodologies and criteria to accomplish tasks effectively.
  • Working independently on most aspects of your assignments.
  • Developing and reviewing designs, drawings, and other engineering outputs that incorporate both established and innovative technologies.

Key Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the offshore oil and gas industry.
  • A Bachelor's Degree (minimum) or a Master's Degree (preferred) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Proficient understanding of industry codes, regulations, and standards such as API RP 2A, AISC, and ISO.
  • Growing proficiency with industry-standard software tools like SACS, SESAM, ANSYS, and MathCAD.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information relevant to your assignments.
  • Capability to create functional and cost-effective designs that fulfill project specifications with some assistance.
  • Skill in analyzing and interpreting structural drawings.
  • Proactive communication across teams to address challenges and apply sound technical skills.
