Sales territory encompasses West Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas
Key Responsibilities: The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is tasked with driving profitable sales of the company's swimming pool components and accessories, which include a diverse range of products such as fiberglass pools, vinyl pool kits, vinyl liners, steps, safety covers, and automatic pool covers and services within the designated area. The TSM focuses on maximizing market share through existing distributors and dealers while also pursuing new dealer partnerships.
Core Duties:
- Manage and nurture existing accounts while actively seeking new business opportunities.
- Achieve or surpass sales targets while ensuring a healthy profit margin.
- Implement, track, and report on sales initiatives and outcomes to management weekly.
- Act as the local market authority by staying informed about business drivers, conditions, and trends, applying this knowledge to enhance efforts and propose ideas to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM).
- Accurately and promptly maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data.
- Generate sales forecasts and sustain an opportunity pipeline using the Sugar CRM tool.
- Educate dealers on the effective use, sale, and installation of our products and services.
- Establish strong, professional relationships with key accounts and distribution partners.
- Execute, communicate, and coordinate all sales initiatives within the region.
- Collect, analyze, and report competitive intelligence in a timely manner within the defined geographic area.
- Engage in trade organizations and trade shows as directed by management (company and dealer events).
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and/or territory/customer management.
- Proficient computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, mobile applications, and CRM tools is essential.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal, customer relations, service, and negotiation abilities. Capability to deliver impactful presentations via computer, telephone, and in-person.
- Strong time management and territory planning skills, with experience working independently while being accountable to a larger team; adept problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to perform under pressure and maintain a professional representation of the company.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time or approximately 100 nights per year within the U.S.
