Key Responsibilities

As a Culinary Team Leader, you will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to design and execute innovative and delectable culinary offerings. Your role will encompass team leadership, effective communication, training, and problem-solving, all while ensuring exceptional service for our guests. You will serve as a champion for our restaurant, crafting memorable experiences and building lasting relationships with patrons.

Specific Duties Include:
  • Oversee all kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Proactively address and resolve any challenges that arise.
  • Lead and mentor kitchen staff, while managing the work schedule.
  • Conduct interviews and onboarding for new team members; assign tasks, evaluate performance, and manage employee relations.
  • Identify and nurture talent within the team, providing training as needed.
  • Manage inventory, ensuring quality and freshness of all food supplies.
  • Maintain budgetary labor costs and assist in managing overtime effectively.
  • Ensure timely food production, aiming to fulfill all orders efficiently.
  • Engage in service training through regular meetings and educational sessions to ensure comprehensive menu knowledge among staff.
  • Support the restaurant in achieving financial goals while upholding high standards of food quality and service.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen facilities through daily supervision of cleaning tasks.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of culinary experience in a fast-paced, full-service dining environment; or equivalent educational background.
  • A degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for diverse cooking techniques, ingredients, and industry standards.
  • Exceptional knife skills and attention to detail.
  • A natural leader with a commitment to fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to cultivate positive relationships with a diverse range of personalities.
