Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance strategy for all facilities and equipment.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the grounds, including building repairs and landscaping in collaboration with external contractors.
  • Ensure the upkeep of all internal areas, such as offices, apartments, and communal spaces.
  • Manage the repair and maintenance of facility equipment to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Provide training to staff on the proper use of equipment and emergency protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with fire safety regulations and emergency procedures, including the management of safety data sheets (SDS).
  • Facilitate monthly Safety Committee meetings and address any safety issues promptly.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, ensuring the functionality of equipment and facilities.
  • Transport residents as needed in company vehicles, adhering to all safety and insurance requirements.
  • Assist with the maintenance of emergency response systems and other technological systems within the community.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience; or equivalent maintenance training with 4 to 6 years of experience preferred.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Chauffeur License within the first month of employment.
  • Familiarity with regulations and standards pertaining to Assisted Living care is essential.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, in a 24-hour operational environment.
