In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing their quality of life and educational journey by providing expert care and support.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine individual student needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based physical therapy techniques to improve students' motor skills, mobility, and overall physical function.
  • Collaborate effectively with educators, special education professionals, and other stakeholders to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Deliver direct physical therapy services to students individually or in groups, utilizing appropriate therapeutic methods and equipment.
  • Actively participate in meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) sessions, to contribute to educational planning and goal setting for each student.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including treatment records, progress reports, and billing information, adhering to all school policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist.
  • Prior experience working with children or adolescents who have physical disabilities, preferably within a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of pediatric physical therapy principles, techniques, and interventions.
  • Proficiency in utilizing therapeutic equipment and tools relevant to school-based physical therapy.
