Job Summary

As a Nurse at Global Force, you will be responsible for providing primary health care for illnesses, injuries, dental, and mental health problems. You will hold regularly scheduled sick-call, provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of minor illnesses, administer medications and treatments in accordance with authorized physicians' Standing Orders, and make referrals to private physicians, dentists, clinics, community resources, or specialized services based on assessment of students' physical and/or emotional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Administer primary health care for illnesses, injuries, dental, and mental health problems
  • Hold regularly scheduled sick-call
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of minor illnesses
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with authorized physicians' Standing Orders
  • Make referrals to private physicians, dentists, clinics, community resources, or specialized services
  • Provide follow-up care, treatment, or relay of information by telephone and/or interview on illness, injuries, dental problems, test results, etc.
  • Counsel, educate, and train students on a variety of health subjects
  • Counsel students about matters relevant to their vocational and academic performance and other related concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Requirements
Current state and/or national licensure and registration as an RN; and CPR certification required
