Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional physician leader to serve as Chief of Neurology in our Department of Pediatrics. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the division's clinical operations, research initiatives, and educational programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Division of Neurology in developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance clinical services, research productivity, and educational programs.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to advance our mission and goals, ensuring seamless integration of clinical, research, and educational activities.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity within the division, promoting a positive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective allocation of funding to support divisional initiatives.
  • Represent the department on local, national, and international platforms, showcasing our expertise and promoting collaborative partnerships.

Requirements

  • Board-certified in Pediatric Neurology.
  • Experience in leading teams, managing budgets, and developing strategic plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, fostering a culture of mutual respect and open communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a division chief or similar leadership role.
  • Publication record in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Recognition for teaching, mentorship, or service to the medical community.

About Durham

Durham is a vibrant city located in the heart of the Research Triangle, offering a diverse range of cultural, recreational, and educational opportunities. Our community is known for its welcoming atmosphere, beautiful parks, and proximity to major research institutions and universities.

Salary Range

$275,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience.
