About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Patient Care: Offer empathetic and personalized consulting services to patients, addressing their medication needs and promoting health awareness.
  • Operate the Pharmacy: Ensure the proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications, adhering to regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Support Pharmacy Operations: Assist the pharmacy manager in identifying ways to optimize pharmacy financials, inventory management, and enhance patient experience.
  • Engage with Patients: Greet patients, offer assistance, and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Model Customer Service: Demonstrate customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
  • Participate in Community Outreach: Partner with the local medical community, participate in community outreach activities, and promote the pharmacy business.
Requirements
  • Education: BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Licensure: Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • Experience: At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
