Job Summary:

As a key member of the Carson Nugget team, you will play a vital role in protecting our assets, guests, and employees by monitoring activities within the casino and its surrounding areas. Your keen observational skills and prompt action will help prevent misconduct, unlawful activity, and ensure compliance with our security program.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol casino areas and external surrounding areas to detect and prevent irregular activities or emergency situations.
  • Notify department heads or supervisors of observed suspicious behaviors, policy/procedure violations, or emergency situations to minimize liability and prevent escalation.
  • Respond to service calls and complaints, monitor the emergency telephone and alarm system, and respond to emergency events in a timely manner.
  • Act on gaming protocol violations by approaching offending patrons and escorting them to the security office, and contact law enforcement agencies as necessary.
  • Keep a record of activities observed and acted upon during the assigned shift by completing incident reports and daily activity reports.
  • Assist in fact-finding, investigations, and other activities as requested by management or outside agencies.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Monitor transmissions on the in-house security and slot radio frequencies to respond to situations and requests for assistance.
  • Transport guests to and from the City Center Hotel as requested or required by circumstances.
  • Complete narrative reports and other documentation required by worker's compensation and/or liability carriers to detail incidents and maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Report to work punctually and accomplish daily responsibilities with a minimum of excused/unexcused absences.
